Years of Simply Superb Meals! We visit Amsterdam frequently and Taj has become a personal pilgrimage for us.Over the last eight years or so we have eaten the most wonderful Indian meals of our lives.After 6 maybe 7 visits, we come away stunned with each meal. This is over close to a decade, so the consistency is there.Wonderful decor and service only add to what is the best Indian culinary experience of our lives.And we’re pretty old, so that’s saying something.Make a reservation and do not let this get by if you are in town.And did I mention it is very reasonable price wise for the quality you will get.

Great place to eat Ate outside. They put tables together for us, as were party of ten. Had tasty food and accommodated friends gluten free and dairy free. Everyone liked their dinner

Im besten Sinne besonders, ich möchte bald wiederkommen Nach einem Spaziergang, der mich ins Gebiet der berühmten Museen Amsterdams führte, war ich - als Vegetarier - sehr froh, ganz in der Nähe auf dieses Restaurant zu treffen, das eine große Auswahl vegetarischer Menüs anbietet. Und meine Wahl habe ich nicht bereut, vom Padadam mit köstlichen Saucen über die mild, aber dennoch ausgezeichnet gewürzte Hauptspeise bis zum aromatischen Kaffee konnte ich alles genießen. Jedes gute indische Restaurant hat einen speziellen Charakter, und auch hier waren Speisekarte, zuvorkommendes Personal und Atmosphäre im besten Sinne besonders. Ich möchte möglichst bald wiederkommen und weitere vegetarische Köstlichkeiten probieren, zumal auch die Preise für den Ort moderat sind.

Very tasty and authentic Indian food in De Pijp area The Taj has a lot of different Indian dishes on its menu, so everyone should be able to find something to their taste. The staff is kind and ready to assist with choices. I went with Chicken Tikka Tandoori and it was great.

Gutes Essen, Reservierung empfehlenswert Wir hatten reserviert, was sich als notwendig herausstellte, denn Gäste ohne Reservierung hätten wir keinen Platz bekommen. Sehr nette Bedienung und leckeres Essen in Portionen in ordentlicher Größe. Es war ein netter Abschluss für einen Museumstag in Amsterdam. Sofern wir wieder in der Gegend sind, werden wir wieder hier essen.

Delicious food, great atmosphere Our first night in Amsterdam and we decided on an Indian meal for tea.Not just any Indian but Taj Indian Restaurant.We received a warm friendly welcome.We were made to feel a valued customer, even on our first visit.Service was excellent, When ordering our meal the waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu, and repeated the order back.The food was 1st class, good choice of meals on the menu.It was that good we went back again on our last night, and enjoyed the same service as our first visit.The food was once again delicious. The best in Amsterdam.

Excellent resturant Excellet food, friendly service and when we were about to pay, the owner said he had an suprise. When he came back with the bill and gave it to our youngest girl, we stupidly thought that was the suprise. We payed and left, after that the owner came after us and said he had prepared ice cream for the girls. We felt really bad that we had misunderstood his kind gesrure
